Czerwona Rzeka

Czerwona Rzeka is returning to Regina to entertain you at Mosaic this year!

From Winnipeg, Czerwona Rzeka, means "Red River" in English. The musicians formed the band in 2012 and focus on traditional folk music from Eastern Europe; Poland, Czech, Slovakia, Ukraine, Hungary and more. A lot of work has been put in, as no members had previous experience with any of the instruments, and the repertoire continues to grow and expand as the band plays with professional musicians during workshops or visits to Poland, Hungary and other folk festivals worldwide.

Saskatoon Husaria Dancers

The Saskatoon Husaria Dancers are a new Polish Dance Group based in Saskatoon, SK. It's a small group, with 13 dancers in two age groups. It started with three moms who met at at Polonia Polish Folk Dance Ensemble of Regina concert. They wanted their kids to know more about their Polish culture, and Husaria Dancers was born.

The children rehearse weekly and are so excited to have the opportunity to perform in their first year of dancing, including at the Polish Pavilion this year!

Sokol Polish Dance Ensemble

From Winnipeg, Manitoba, Sokol Polish Dance Ensemble will entertain the crowds at the Polish Pavilion on Saturday, June 1 beginning at 7:30pm.

More about them: The idea of creating a dance group arose among members of the Polish Gymnastic Association "Sokół" in Winnipeg just a few years after the organization was founded in 1906. Since then, Sokół's dancers have always taken great care to preserve and proudly present Polish culture and folklore through song, dance and colourful, ethnic costumes both in Canada and abroad. The ensemble currently runs under the artistic direction of Derek Gale.
